Does Verizon charge minutes for calls to 800 numbers during the day?

futures trading markets said:

I am thinking not since they are meant to be free calls but you never know… Thanks!
Please don’t tell me to call customer service… It’s an 800 number!

    Yes, they do. 1-800 numbers are meant to be “toll free” on land lines (no extra charge) but still use your minutes on a cell phone.
